Did you hear that because of my crazy video I was chosen as one of the six bloggers to receive an all expense paid trip to SoFabCon? Well, I did and I am am stoked! So now what? Well, there’s this little issue of me wanting to be at my best, so I’m taking the next 3 months to take care of myself so I can be SoFabulous!
I recently went to the doctor to get a health assessment and the lab tests weren’t all that great. Turns out I have a few things that I need to get taken care of to improve my health. My weight isn’t contributing to my other health concerns, but it’s still a concern of mine. So now I’m doing what I can to improve my overall health.
These are some pictures from last year’s SoFabCon. Seriously, who let me wear walk around like that? You know, no matter what size you are you can rock a look and look amazing, but you have to wear clothes that actually fit you correctly. Let this be a lesson to you. Try on your clothes AFTER you wash them and BEFORE you take them with you. I knew my slacks had shrunk, but I didn’t realize the jacket had shrunk. Go me. Don’t do that.
Hurray for this dress actually fitting. I totally agree with Stacy London that natural fibers are best in clothing, but man made stuff doesn’t shrink. This dress didn’t shrink. Thank you dress. I’ll miss you when I’m no longer a size 16. Some sacrifices are worth it.
I’ve already taken steps to improving my lifestyle. I bought several refillable water bottles to encourage me to stay hydrated. The crazy thing is that it is working! When I have something I can carry with me wherever I go I tend to drink more. I have a harder time losing weight when I’m not hydrated. When I have gone 2-3 days without drinking enough water I gain weight again.
Along the same lines is my pop intake. I was drinking 44 oz of Dr. Pepper six days a week. I’ve cut that out significantly. For a week I didn’t drink any and now I’m drinking it here and there, but I’m not getting as much as I used to. I don’t need that much sugar or caffeine in my system.
I’ve been told I’m kind of a stress case. Am not. Okay, maybe a little. Or a lot. Yeah, a lot. So I’m working on that. Apparently I need to be taking time for myself that doesn’t involve a computer. Okay, fine. So I’ve decided to start exercising. Me time + exercise = one contented momma.

I’ll be checking in sometime in early March. I’m hoping to be under 200 lbs by then. Wish me luck!
