Several months ago I discovered a database of safety profiles for cosmetics and personal care products. I found out that the products I was currently using contained all kinds of harmful chemicals. Since then I’ve been working replacing the personal care products I use with safer, healthier alternatives. I’ve also been familiarizing myself with individual ingredients that are safe. I’ve been using several products from Forever Pure. Forever Pure was created by Christine Byrnes after she had a difficult time finding cosmetics that were natural, organic, and gluten-free.

The most important tool in my makeup arsenal is mineral powder foundation. I deal with a lot of redness, so if nothing else, I need to have some good mineral powder to even things out. The Essential Cover Loose Mineral Foundation does a pretty good job at covering up the redness in my face. It takes a little getting used to, as a lot of blending is necessary to avoid streaking. I love how light it is, and how I can add a second layer without feeling overdone.
In addition to redness, I usually have some darkness under my eyes, and I need to wear concealer. Like the mineral powder, the Under Eye Cream Concealer is very light, lighter than I’m used to. I was pleasantly surprised with how well it covered without having to cake it on. I found that using my finger to apply is easier and more effective than using a brush. A little goes a long way, and I can tell that this concealer is going to last me a long time.
I recently dyed my hair back to a dark brown. My eyebrows are thin and a little lighter than my hair. I’ve been using eye shadow on my brows, but I’ve been using Mineral Brow Cream, and I’m very pleased with it. An added bonus is that I use the same brush to apply eye shadow for liner. The cream helps keep the shadow in place all day.
The Lip Infusion Lipstick is my absolute favorite! I have never used a lipstick that was so moisturizing or stayed on longer. I applied it once and it kept my lips hydrated for two days. I also woke up from a nap the other day and the lipstick was still there. I’ve NEVER had that happen before. I will always keep this lipstick on me, and I may have to buy it in half a dozen colors.
Isn’t this compact gorgeous? Not being very girlie, I might not have picked this out myself, but I love having something so pretty in my purse to offset my knife and pepper spray. I may be able to take care of myself, but why not look pretty while doing it?
Not only does Forever Pure list all ingredients on the products, but you can find a complete list of ingredients by product on the website. I only trust products that fully disclose the ingredients. I want to know what I’m putting on my body
