Parnevu Review

Even though I am in my twenties I am still trying to figure out my hair. It is hard to pin down exactly what kind of care system I should be using with it. I have thin hair and my scalp is dry, so it over-produces oil just like my face. With most shampoo I have to wash everyday to keep the oil in check. Most shampoos also strip the oils so my scalp over-produces even more. I tried doing the baking soda and vinegar, or the ‘no-poo’ method. It worked great for a while, but then my hair started getting brittle. The upside of having an oily scalp is that my hair is generally very strong and healthy. It was the first time that I’ve experiences any damage.

I was introduced to Parnevu and thought I’d give it a try. I tried the Tea Tree shampoo and the Hair Mayonnaise. Right off the bat I loved it. It smelled amazing and I was able to wash my hair every other day. The Hair Mayonnaise is a leave-in conditioner and can be used to deep condition. I was used to using conditioner in the shower, so this was a little new, but it was working out so far. Some shampoo samples I had ordered months before came in the mail. There was one sample that I had tried before and really like, so I decided to try it again. I often try new samples even when I’m happy with my current products. There was just one problem; when I used the sample my hair became tangled and practically unmanageable. I was confused because this hadn’t happened before. I went back to using the Parnevu, but a few days later I decided to try a different sample to see what would happen. I had the same result. My hair became nearly unmanageable.

I stopped using the Parnevu and went back to a brand I had used previously. I struggled with manageability still. I had always been known for my long, healthy hair and this was just not normal. There had to be something about the Parnevu because switching brands had never been an issue. I was disappointed because I liked it, but I like switching it up a little every now and then. Clearly I couldn’t do it with this brand. It’s now been almost two months since I stopped using the Parnevu products, but I am still having issues with my hair tangling easily when wet. I really hope that eventually my hair goes back to normal. This being said, the Parnevu brand is mainly marketed for coarse, black, curly hair. My hair is none of those. Your experience may be completely different that mine. If you think that Parnevu might work for you, I’d encourage you to do your research and read lots of reviews. Everyone is different and you may love it! If you end up trying it and it doesn’t work for you, the people at Parnevu are seriously awesome. They are so nice and invite any and all feedback.

The PARNEVU T-Tree 3 Step Curative System is only $15 for three products. The Hair Mayonnaise lasts  a really long time because it is a huge container and you don’t need to use much at a time. I will still use it occasionally because it smells great and it helps to tame flyaways without weighing your hair down.

Love good smelling shampoo! That can almost trump everything else…. but not completely. Thanks for sharing that you loved it but it just didn’t work for your hair. :-)

Not everything works for everyone, I love reading reviews that are honest and explain why – like it being made for thick coarse hair and yours is not thick and coarse. I hope your hair returns soon, I hate when I have hair issues.

I really liked parnevu shampoo too. The hair mayo made my hair super oily so i couldn’t use it. I never thought about it, but now that you mention it.. when I ran out of my parnevu and went back to my old shampoo I did have a horrid time for awhile with my knots. and it almost felt sticky like trying to pull them out. That is kind of odd. I never put two and two together.. mine is finally back to normal now.. i hope yours returns to normal soon!

Absolutely not every product is for everyone, but the only way we know is by trying them same as anything. I’m like you I love switching my products month to month, except my conditioners when I find a really good one for my hair, and those are few and far between.
